Announcing the release of CtrlChanges 1.5 for Adobe InDesign & InCopy

Stockholm, Sweden, March 27, 2012 - CtrlPublishing, a leading developer of Adobe® InDesign® and Adobe® InCopy® plug-ins and advanced workflow solutions, today released its utility CtrlChanges 1.5 for InDesign and InCopy. CtrlChanges is a plug-in for both Adobe® InDesign and Adobe® InCopy users who need to visually see what text has been changed in the Layout View of an InDesign document.

When collaborating on an InDesign document, the ability for the workgroup to see text changes either on screen or in print enhances the workflow. CtrlChanges visual cues, on screen or on paper, indicate where revisions have taken place so you no longer need to spend valuable time thinking about what has been changed or not. CtrlChanges tracks all text changes in a document as it is being revised, and displays added or deleted text in the Layout View. CtrlChanges is available in three versions, (Light, Standard and Pro), for both InDesign and InCopy.

* Exporting a revision document will accept all changes before a certain date, reject all changes after a certain date and preserve all changes for this time frame. This will not effect the original document, CtrlChanges Pro creates a new document according to users settings

CtrlPublishing medverkar på Cap&Design Inhousedagen 2012

Efter vår mycket lyckade medverkan på Inhousedagen i Stockholm 2011 går nu turen till Göteborg och 2012 års upplaga av Inhousedagen. Denna gång kommer vi att finnas närvarande i anslutning till seminariumlokalen, till skillnad från tidigare seminarium kommer vi inte att presentera något på scen utan istället fokusera på att träffa er besökare.

Vid förra årets seminarium förklarade vi hur formgivare och innehållsägare enkelt kan samarbeta med InDesign dokument enkelt och tryggt, vi visade även hur enkelt det kan vara att få en tydlig och smidig lösning på korrektur och hur det i sin tur leder till kortare ledtider och färre missförstånd. Många av besökarna i Stockholm blev förvånade över hur enkelt detta kan vara, och många av dessa besökare blev lite senare våra kunder.

Official Beta Release of CtrlChanges 1.5

We are pleased to announce the official beta release of CtrlChanges 1.5 for Adobe InCopy and InDesign. CtrlChanges 1.5 supports CS3, CS4, CS5 and CS5.5

We have added one very important feature that many of our users have been asking for, the ability to filter changes. This new feature will give CtrlChanges Pro users an intuitive and user friendly popup menu within the CtrlChanges Pro panel. You can now filter by users, layers and most importantly date, to see the changes made.  After filtering by date (call it time frame), users will be able to export a revision of the document. Exporting a revision is as simple as clicking a button. When performed, CtrlChanges will accept all changes before a user defined date, reject all changes after the defined date and preserve all changes made between these dates. In addition to these features we also included Japanese language support.

You can download CtrlChanges 1.5 from our trial download page. Should you encounter any problems please send us a report using our Product Support form.

Should you need to remove CtrlChanges 1.5 simply navigate to your InDesign or InCopy program folder, open the Plug-ins folder and delete the Ctrl Publishing folder. You may also use the Remove tool found in Macintosh HD/Applictions/Ctrl Publishing/CtrlChanges... for Mac or C:/Program Files/Ctrl Publishing/CtrlChanges... for Windows

We have been working hard to offer our customers exciting new features in our very popular InDesign and InCopy plug-in CtrlChanges. We are pleased to announce that version 1.5 of CtrlChanges will ship very soon. We have added an important feature that many of our users have been requesting: the ability to filter changes. This new feature will offer users of CtrlChanges Pro an intuitive and user friendly popup menu within the CtrlChanges Pro panel allowing them to filter changes based on users, layers and (most importantly) date. 

While working on adding this filtering functionality we could not resist adding an additional time saving feature. When filtering based on date (call it time frame), users can choose to export a revision of the document. Exporting a revision is just a matter of clicking a button, when performed CtrlChanges will accept all changes before a user defined date, reject all changes after a defined date and preserve all changes made between the two.

As always, CtrlPublishing's plugins are so called "non-mandatory" plugins and will not effect the InDesign document in any way, nor will all users in a workgroup require the plugin to open and work on a document unless they need the features we offer. This is also true for the new version of CtrlChanges 1.5

CtrlCrossTalk CS5 1.0.3 Update

Our popular CtrlCrossTalk plug-in for Adobe InCopy CS5 has been updated from version 1.0.2 to 1.0.3. The update fixes stability problem users has been experiencing when working in mixed CrossTalk Workflow and Adobe LiveEdit Workflow.

Users of CtrlCrossTalk for InCopy CS5 can either use the auto updater to acquire the update or download the update from our download page, of course this update is for FREE.
